Pythagorean Theorem

This is a proof of the Pythagorean Theorem presented in Geometer’s Sketchpad.  The best way to present this is to open all 10 files in Sketchpad and then use the dropdown menus under “window” to show the pages in order.  On all pages, point B can be used as a handle to change the proportions of the triangles.

Note:  Because of my limitations using Sketchpad, when you try to make leg a shorter than leg b, the four triangles cease to be congruent.  (Try it, you’ll see what I mean.)
